Abstract

A lot rhythm and connection disturbances can be seen in acute phase of acute rheumatic fever. First degree atrioventricular block which is minör sign of acute rheumatic fever is most connection disturbance in this disease. Complete atrioventricular block that seriously affected in conduction pathways was reported very little case on the literature. A 15-year-old boy was admitted because of syncope which was caused by complete atrioventricular block. Because of symptomatic complete atrioventricular block, a temporary pacemaker was employed. Transient pacemaker treatment was terminated due to recovery of complete atrioventricular block on the third day of antiinflammatory treatment. As reason of acquired complete atrioventricular block, acute rheumatic fever should keep in mind. Connection disturbances on acute rheumatic fever is improve by antiinflammatory treatment. Transient pacemaker treatment is indicated for patients who sympthomatic transient complete atrioventricular block.
